about the artist

Michael Orgeron

Michael had suspended his art career for quite some time but picked up his pencil (preferred medium) again at the request of his wife a few years ago. With a focus on illustration and photorealistic styling and venturing into surrealistic reflection, birds are his true love, with anatomy his second. He focuses on close detail to investigate his subject with an eye for accuracy. His favourite artists are Edward Wilson, Rubens, and Da Vinci.

Recent works have prompted Michael to go back to basics and explore the dimensions, complexities and contrasts of creationism and evolution in anatomical and surrealistic design with graphite and single tone work, taking inspiration from the studies of Leonardo Da Vinci.
